The iSwim for Kids fundraiser will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. If your students cannot swim on Saturday, they can still participate by completing their laps on one of our make-up days, which are on Monday, February 10th or Wednesday, February 12th from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. This event will be held at the South Albany Community Pool.
- Half the money collected minus expenses goes directly back to your students classroom.
- The other half of the money collected minus expenses goes to the Albany Public Schools Foundation classroom grant program.
- No swimming skills needed. The students can walk across the pool in the shallow end to complete their laps or walk on the track.
- It only takes 20-30 minutes of swimming to complete the 20 widths/laps of the pool.
- It’s a lot of fun.
- Clubs are welcome.
Swim-A-Lap Bonus Money
$350 for the school collecting the most money.
$250 and a Dutch Bros Party for the classroom collecting the most money.
(The Albany Public Schools Foundation Board will use a formula to take class and school size into consideration for the bonus money prize, so it will be fair to all schools.)
Pizza and Ice-cream party for the entire class to the student who collected the most money.
Students who raise $40 or more will receive a free iSwim for Kids t-shirt.
Pledge forms will be sent to your school office after winter break for any students who would like to participate and do not want to use our new electronic pledge forms (99 pledges at https://99pledges.com).
