The annual Pumpkin Patch at Clover Ridge was held on October 31st and was a huge success! Students spent the day rotating between several different stations, featuring crafts and activities such as:
- creating pumpkin mosaics
- playing Dress the Scarecrow (similar to pin the tail on the donkey)
- building spider donuts and colored masks
- painting bat silhouettes
- enjoying fall stories and coloring sheets
- making spider hats and cotton ball ghosts
- participating in special PE and music fall themed activities
Our annual Pumpkin Patch at Clover Ridge became a tradition 5 years ago, when the decision was made to help curb expenses by bringing the Pumpkin Patch activities to the school instead of busing 300+ students out to the patch. Since then, it has become one of the most popular days of the year for students, parents and staff alike.
We’d like to give a huge thank you to the staff organizers of the event, Ms. Whitney, Ms. Caulfield, Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. Capellan, who gave selflessly of their own time to plan and execute the Pumpkin Patch. We also couldn’t pull off days like this without the amazing support of our school community. We had over 50 volunteers involved with set up, running stations and clean up, and we could not succeed without their willingness, flexibility and desire to put children first. It is no small feat to put 360+ children through 7 rotating stations over the course of 6 hours and it was truly a wonderful team effort.
